Lessons from a Life Lived Disruptively: A Personal Campaign

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘disruptive?’

I’m guessing it’s probably something negative.

Throughout my life, I’ve been labelled as disruptive, and I used to think it was a criticism of my behaviour. Now I take it as a compliment because what it really means is that I’m not afraid to speak out when something’s not right.
After I successfully lodged a complaint against the university where I’m doing my PhD, I decided that something good needed to come from the experience.

This is the result: a series of personal blogs and interviews on being disruptive and why it’s not always a bad thing. Especially in business.

Are you a disruptor?

Then get involved

Expect some impactful content on topics like ‘developing your shield’ (protecting yourself), ‘finding your tribe,’ speaking out when things aren’t right, and looking after yourself.

As part of the campaign, I’d love to interview some fellow ‘disrupters’ about their experiences, what they’ve achieved, and the advice they’d give to others.

Since I embarked on this campaign, I have become aware of others in academia who see the need to be disruptive so you aren’t alone!

If you’d like to get involved, get in touch.

Meanwhile, enjoy the content!
